Rescue
A card game about 64 one-of-a-kind dogs and where they belong.
A tableau-building card game I co-designed with Some Untitled Collective. Players compete to rescue dogs, arrange them into packs, and find them forever homes.

The game
Rescue is a tableau builder: you score by drawing dogs and arranging them in your rescue in groups, called packs. Appointing a pack leader unlocks stronger combinations, but not every dog gets along, and a bad pairing costs you points.
Every one of the 64 dogs is different, with its own ability that fires when it joins your rescue or a trick it can perform on your turn.
How a turn stays interesting
Dogs that don't fit your packs yet aren't dead weight. They can wait with a foster family, where they earn bonus points based on personality, so there is always a useful place to put a card.
Three Adoption Events are revealed over the course of a game, each a chance to adopt dogs out for extra points. The player with the most points at the end wins.
Where it stands
The game is in prototype and playtesting, with a Kickstarter campaign coming. The studio site covers the rules overview, the team, and how to request a prototype or join a playtest.
